We are committed to keeping the village informed. This is where we share updates from the trustees, celebrate the people who help run the Village Hall and Park, and explain how our projects are progressing. Not every plan will happen overnight, but we will tell you what is under way, what has been decided and where we would welcome your help.

October 2026

An ambitious first target of £60,000 for the Park

As it stands, the play area is not safe to reopen. Our current Play On target is £60,000, focused on reopening and improving the play area. We are obtaining quotations, and the target may increase as costs become clearer. Our longer-term ambition includes the wider park, extra parking, and improvements to the Village Hall and other buildings. Money already raised through Bring Play Back stays with the play area. Fivehead Park: Play On raises money for Fivehead Park and its buildings, starting with the play area. Support the Park.

7 October 2026

A message from the new trustees

We are pleased to confirm that we were appointed as the new trustees of Fivehead Village Hall & Park on Wednesday 7 October. The Village Hall remains open as usual, with existing bookings unaffected and new bookings welcome. Discussions are already under way about reopening the play area. We will keep you informed of our progress here.

The village fête raised over £3,000

Thank you to everyone who came along, joined in and supported the fête, and to our volunteers, stallholders, performers, prize donors, bakers and helpers. We could not do what we do without you.

A wonderful day at Fivehead

We were proud to host the Keys Somerset Progressive Schools Pride Summer Fête for two local SEND schools: a safe, welcoming space for children to have fun and share a very special day. This is exactly what our community facilities are here for.
